I AM Academy

I AM Academy is designed to help​ ​cultivate the skills students ages 10-18 need to develop​ ​as successful adults with a strong sense of their own​ ​identity. The innovative, group-style mentoring program​ ​held on school campuses and local community centers, empowers through direct instruction, experiential​ ​learning, as well as trust and team building activities​ ​designed to improve confidence and respect for others

Success for I Am Academy participants is defined and determined by 80% of participants showing positive behavior changes in two or more of the four pillars of building character, confidence, education opportunities, and self-esteem and awareness.

I AM Academy results as of April 2024 with a target of 80%- (11 sites)

  • 96 of 112 (86%) named two things they learned that represented building character, confidence, opportunities, and self-esteem and awareness.
  • 96 of 112 (86%) indicated that they are doing something differently such as choosing better friends, improving their behavior and focusing on improving their grades.
  • 108 of 112 (96%) stated that they respect themselves more and are better aware of their surroundings as a result of what they learned.

Tea Party 4 Girls

Truly Valued has relaunched its Tea Party 4 Girls event, aimed at empowering women of all ages with actionable strategies to start or strengthen their purpose. Women of all ages attended the luncheon in June and were reminded to set boundaries, be the role model they want their daughters to emulate, and have confidence in themselves.

Out of 21 surveys completed:

  • 15 (71%) participants reported increased confidence from the information received.
  • 18 (86%) participants shared enhanced self-awareness and a commitment to setting personal boundaries.
  • 20 (95%) participants stated they will use the information to create actionable steps towards achieving their goals.

2024 Academy Elite Camp

Truly Valued concluded its first-ever football camp, an event marked by the dedication of former pro players, youth football coaches, and parents who collectively contributed over 300 volunteer hours to ensure the success and safety of the campers. Click here for more media coverage.
