I AM Academy
Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders
The I AM Academy is a transformative program designed for students ages 10-18, equipping them with the essential skills they need to thrive as confident and successful adults.
Through a dynamic mentoring approach, the Academy combines:
- Direct Instruction: Tailored lessons that develop character, self-esteem, and leadership.
- Experiential Learning: Hands-on activities that nurture creativity and critical thinking.
- Trust-Building Experiences: Group exercises that foster meaningful connections and mutual respect.
Success is measured by the percentage of students who demonstrate positive behavior changes in at least two of the program’s four key pillars:
- Character Development
- Confidence Building
- Educational Opportunities
- Self-Esteem and Awareness
By partnering with schools and community centers, we create safe spaces where students can grow, explore their potential, and cultivate the confidence to lead.
Our goal is for 80% of students to achieve measurable growth in these areas, setting them on a path to becoming leaders in their communities.
I AM Academy results as of December 2024 with a target of 80%- (12 sites)
- 88 of 97 students (91%) reported a greater understanding of integrity, collaboration, and teamwork.
- 91 of 97 students (94%) reported increased knowledge of their triggers and identified coping skills for self-control.
- 92 of 97 students (95%) demonstrated actionable steps, such as completing chores without being asked and showing respect to peers and teachers.
- Additionally, 40% of our students had reading learning gains in the 2023-24 school year!
