Nurturing Families Program
The Nurturing Families Program® is a family-centered initiative focused on preventing and reducing child abuse and neglect. This program invites parents with children from birth to 18 years old to participate in group-based sessions, offering competency-based lessons that ensure parents learn and master essential skills.
Nurturing Families results as of September 2024
The Nurturing Families Program achieves success when 70% of parents demonstrate meaningful growth through pre- and post-test assessments, reflecting their progress and improved parenting skills.
- 43 out of 53 parents (81%) achieved this target, showcasing their impressive progress and the program’s effectiveness.
70% of parents will, therefore, demonstrate positive behavior changes in at least two of the three key pillars: confidence, opportunities, and relationships, as outlined below:
- Confidence—Empowering oneself to assert needs and desires, employing positive coping strategies, and curbing impulsive behaviors.
- Opportunities—Pursuing additional education or job training by enrolling in programs or college, and actively seeking and securing employment.
- Relationships—This involves fostering healthier interactions and communications with family and others, while simultaneously showcasing strong social skills.
- 51 out of 53 parents (96%) reached this milestone, highlighting their exceptional progress and the transformative impact of the program.
